For All the Single Ladies

Have you been waiting, and waiting, and waiting—for the right time, the right job, the right move, and of course, the right man? Have you been frustrated when God says, “No,” when God says, “Wait,” and when God says nothing? You are not alone. I’ve been where you are. I know what it’s like to turn over at night without anyone to put your arms around. I know what it’s like to feel you are always the bridesmaid but never the bride. I know what it’s like to eat when you’re not hungry, to sleep when you’re not tired, and be alone in a crowd. But more importantly, I know what it’s like to overcome these things. My best advice, whether you desire to be married or not, is, “Don’t ever be satisfied with less than God’s best for you.” You have a special purpose in life—outside your relationship with a man— and precious time is wasted every minute you spend in oblivion to what it is. Take time to recognize God for who He is, not just what He does. The more you learn about who He is, the more you’ll understand who you should be and what He has for you.
